Andrew Atwell

While several of EHG’s team contributed to the conception of this program, taking the lead as “Community Director '' is Andrew Atwell, a long time hospitality worker and now self-proclaimed “Olympic level self-care practitioner”.   Over many years of self-study, utilizing many different modalities, he has developed an extraordinary,  multi-disciplinary approach to staying well in a challenging industry like bars and restaurants, and maybe even a more challenging city, like NYC.   Standard, unsexy stuff like prioritizing sleep, eating “real” food, movement practices, stillness practices, time in nature, and intentional time in community make up the bulk of what he knows serves his overall health, and what he continues to encourage within the restaurant team.

Andrew has been lifetime seeker with a deep-rooted inclination towards all things physical, as well as a natural teacher, ocean lifeguard of 18 years, surfer, avid trail-runner, wild-savage-yogi, and recently embarked upon, and therefore humbled-regularly, white-belt jiu-jitsu practitioner.   He draws inspiration from these different disciplines to keep the idea of staying-fit from getting dull,  and now primarily focuses on the community potential that exists when we share the medicine-that-is-movement with others.    A pillar of Endless Ways to Well will remain a striving to use group “movement” (and at times maybe stillness)  to break down the barriers between us, maybe even heal some of what divides.
